You are a student at a language school in New Zealand studying Business English. Part of the course is a summer work placement program. Unfortunately, you have just learnt from the school that this program has now been cancelled.
Write a letter to the School Principal. In your letter:
• state your reason for writing
• describe the problem and your concerns
• explain what you would like the Principal to do.
My name is John and I am writing this letter to express my disappointment with the news that the summer work placement program has been canceled.
I have selected Business English at your school in July and August because I thought it is the best opportunity to strive in the work placement program. There are many schools around the globe for Business English program but decided to join your college, however, there are a handful of colleges that enable students to go and work in local companies as a part of the curriculum such as in California, Toronto, Berlin etcetera.
The college fee of your college is lofty even though, I was doomed to study here as I thought it will equip me with knowledge and hands-on experience. Nonetheless, I have invested a lot in my course I am not getting the aspired course.
The course subjects are totally different from the one advertised. I would like to request a full refund of my fee I paid for my course. I will search for another school in California that provides Business English classes and also assure the work placement as part of the course.
I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Yours Sincerely,
Jot
