The table illustrates the standard of living reflected through four indicators in five nations in 1980.
It is noticeable that the quality of life in USA overtook the other four countries by a wide margin.
According to data, USA had the best quaity of life with the highest GNP at 13,160 dollars per head. It also had a much higher daily calorie intake and life expectancy, and the lowest rate of infant mortality. There were a lower quality of life in Egypt, Indonesia and Bolivia which sharing comparable figures in four main indicators. Egypt citizens were provided the highest GNP with 690 dollars per head, while the infant mortality rate of Bolivia was the highest among st the three.
Bangladesh citizens were supplied with the worst quality of life in all the indicators. Its GNP was one hundred times smaller than the USA’s, meanwhile, its infant mortality rate was 10 times greater.
