British cuisine composition(as % of entire caloric intake)
The information given in the table provides breakdown of the percentage of caloric consumption as a whole in British cuisine compositon by categorising two groups.
Overall, the highest proportion of caloric intake goes to livestock in animal derived products, wheras eggs and other products(including oil) are the lowest. In plant drived , the proportion of the grain- derived products(including wheat derived goods) is the largest with big difference.
Looking more closely at the details, as it was mentioned above the highest pepercenra of caloric consumption belongs to livestock with 12%. It is fourfold higher than eggs and other products. To be specific, the figures for eggs and others(including oil) constitute 3% equally. Besides that, milk products make up 4.5% and the proportion of fish as well as other seaafoo is less by half per cent compared with milk products.
Moving to the plant derived products, 42% of caloric intake is in the grain derived products. It is almost threefold more than heavily processed plant products. That is to say, the proportion of latter group acccount for 10 %. It, in turn, is twofold hoigher compared with above ground vegetables. Additionally, the percentage of fruit in caloric consumption is less by twofold than tuber vegetables( 3.5% and 7% respectively). Finaly, 6% of the caloric intake goes to other(including all fungi and oil).
