The given line graph describes the percentage of uninsured citizens in two American cities from 1981 to 2005. The cities are Boston and Seattle.
Starting from 1981, both cities had nearly the same proportion of people without health insurance, just over 20 percent. A few years later, both cities see a slight increase in that percentage. However, while Seattle saw a steeper rise, Boston's percentage of the uninsured started falling soon afterward a bit, then started rising around the year 1990 and consistently went up and reach a peak at 35 percent until 1994. around the year 1994, there was a significant decrease in the rate of Bostonians without health insurance. In Seattle, after an initial rise in the percentage of the uninsured until reached its peak at 40% by 1989, the rate started fluctuating many times but mainly continued to go downward until it reached the lowest point in 2005.
In conclusion, the percentage of people in both cities without health insurance started at the same in 1981 and eventually settles at a percentage below the level in 2005. Besides, Boston's percentage of the uninsured is much less than in 1981, whereas Settle's percentage is only a tiny bit lower.
