The graph below gives information from a 2008 report about consumption of energy in the USA since 1980 with projections until 2030 Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparison where relevant.
The figure illustrates information about variant types of U.S.Energy usage by means of archive datasets and projected consumption until the 2030. As graph shows, there are significant differences among three groups of fuels (a)petrol and oil, b)coal and natural gas, c)nuclear, solar/wind and hydropower), on the other hand, petrol and oil are always by the far in first place, coal and natural gas are under the former energy powers and third group are located beneath the other two groups.
In order to describe more precisely, petrol and oil have approximately an increasing trend from 35 units in 1980 to about 45 units by the year 2030. Furthermore, there are some fluctuations (decreasing pattern) in the years 1985, 1995 and 2020.
The second group (coal and natural gas) have a soaring trend too. However, natural gas consumption was 20 units in the beginning of the curve while coal had about 16 units usage at the same year but coal overtook the natural gas in the year 2015 and natural gas reached in a constant slope amount after the mentioned year.
For third group description, it is obvious that all three fuels approximately began from the same units in the year 1980 and after some oscillations until the year 2005, they have constant amount of consumption. By considering the fact that nuclear power, solar wind and hydropower will grasp first to third places in their group respectively until the year 2030.
