Essay topics:

Your company sent you abroad to take a course and you want to extend your stay there. Write a letter to your manager.
In your letter, you should tell:
* what the benefits of this course are
* what the reasons you want to stay more time
* when you will be back.

Dear Mr Silvagi,

I am writing this letter in connection to my current trip in Canada for the course Advanced CAE Analysis in Automotive Industry.

This course aims at the advanced CAE analytical methodologies and techniques, and their application in automotive engineering, which is extremely beneficial for my job as a CAE engineer. Whatever I learn here could be used in my daily work to boost the efficiency and expand the range of analysis, and this is the reason why you approve my trip.

Now I am asking your permission to extend my stay as the organizer of the course adds a three-day workshop. Their senior engineering specialists would demonstrate how to work on specific models and projects utilizing the methods and skills taught in the course. They could be of great help for me to make use of the techniques much faster and I could show the demonstration to my colleagues so that we could work more efficiently together.

I would return three days after the original schedule if you approve the extension, which is going to be 16th Jun.

I hope you could grant me the permission to stay for three more days. I would be looking forward to your response.

Yours faithfully,
Jerry Wang
