The graph compares employment rates in three sectors of the economy, in the UK, 2000-2010.
As we can see, the line graph illustrates the proportion of people working in three economic sectors in the United Kingdom, over a decade between 2000 and 2010.
Generally speaking, public sector jobs employment rate is considered the highest, and people showed the least concern in self-employed jobs in the year 2000. In addition to this clear point, we can witness that in the year 2010, public sector jobs rose up to highest number; however, private sector employment rate descend at the bottom during the same year.
Between the years 2000 to 2005, public sector started at nearly 40% in 2000, and remained constant throughout first three years. It started rising in 2002 reaching 50% in the year 2005. When looking at self-employment, it fluctuates between 18% and 20% throughout the years, ending with 20% in 2005. Private sector starts with approximate 48%, it then starts descending just above 40% in 2002, and afterwards it remained constant the next year. In year 2003, it again shows step decline reaching just above 30% in the year 2005.
Future predictions indicate that during the year 2005 to 2010, public sector starts with just below 50% and shows a decrement of 5%, and finally rises up to just above 50% at the end of the year 2010. When talking about private sector, over the span of five years, between 2005 to 2010, it started declining reaching 20% in the year 2010. Finally, just like public sector self-employment, jumped to 30% in the year 2009, and remained constant the final year.
