A friend has agreed to look after your house and pet while you are on holiday. Write a letter to your friend.
In your letter
give contact details for when you are away
give instructions about how to care for your pet
describe other household duties
Write at least 150 words. You do NOT need to write any addresses.
Begin your letter as follows:
Dear .....................,
Dear Amritha,
Hope you’re doing well. I am writing this letter to you as a request for you to take care of my pet cat, Sylvester, while I’m away on my holiday to New Delhi for 30 days. In this letter, I will chart out all the information pertaining to my contact details while I am on holiday, instructions about how to take care of Sylvester and all other household duties
I will start by charting out all the instructions required to take care of Sylvester right from the start of the day till the end of the day. You would have to come twice a day to ensure he is doing fine. Once in the morning at 8am and then in the evening at 7pm
Start of the day 8am: Sylvester wakes up sharp at 8am. This is when we feed him. His food and water bowls are kept in the second room which is the guest room. When he wakes up, please fill his food bowl with 50g of dry food and 20g of wet food. The dry food will be kept on top of the fridge and the wet food will be kept on the top compartment of the fridge and they will be portioned out into 30 bags. Once you have given the food to him in his food bowl, please fill his water bowl with 100 ml of water
After he has been fed, sylvester likes to be petted. Please pet him for 10 to 15 minutes after which he falls off to sleep
Since Sylvester is a playful cat, he likes to play with his toys. Before you leave for the day, you can place 2 of his toys next to him in the room. Both his toys will be kept in the brown cupboard which is in the guest room.
When you come back in the evening at 7pm to feed him his second meal, please spend 30 minutes with playing with him since he likes to play a lot. As he gets tired, you can feed him 50g dry food and 20g wet food at 7:30pm
Apart from all the above instructions, his medical files are kept in the same brown cupboard, in the left handside drawer. The file is white in colour with ‘Pet Aid Clinic’ written on it. He does not need any medications, but in the occasion of an emergency you can contact his vet Dr.Nikhil. His contact number is +91-9921048574 any time of the day since he is a very responsive person on call.
Also, while you are at home during the above mentioned timings, it would be of great help if you could look at some basic household duties. All you have to do is to ensure my cupboard, which is the white one in the master bedroom, is locked. And before you leave the house, please ensure all the windows and doors are locked because Sylvester is in the house and it would be unsafe to keep the windows and doors open
If you follow the above instructions, there will be nothing to worry. However, if you need to reach out to me incase of any emergency, my contact number during my holiday will be the same as now which is +919665271177. In case I am not reachable, you can contact my husband Mohit on his number +919970786792
Thank you very much for helping me out to take care of Sylvester while I’m on my holiday.
I will see meet you as soon as I am back from the holiday.
Lots of Love
Sweta
