The two charts shows the primary reason tourists visited Orange County for two different years i.e 2006 and 2016. Both the pie charts are divided into five different categories, covering all the possible reason for tourist's visit to the county.
As it can be clearly seen, the number of tourists who visited the Orange County in 2016 is significantly greater if compared to 2006. As it stands in 2016, the number of tourists increased by almost 90 percent within a 10 year gap.
In 2006, we can clearly see that the main reason of attraction of tourists attraction were annual events held in Orange County, with about 450000 people attending that year. Also, more than a quarter of tourists in that year came to the county to visit their museums, followed by theater visits and the restaurants in the area. Very few percentage of tourists turned up to the county for reason other than this.
By 2016, there was a complete turnabout, with most of the tourists visiting the restaurants in the region, with more than 700000 people turning up for them alone. While there is a variation in percentage of people visiting for different reason, people visiting the museums took a nosedive within 10 years, with 60000 less people visiting it in the year of 2016.
