Write a letter to the manager of your insurance company. In your letter:
Describe the item you lost
Explain how you lost it
Tell the insurance company what you would like them to do
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing this letter to report the loss of my guitar, which was covered under your insurance policy.
My name is Harpreet, and my policy number is 7798260. Let me explain what had happened exactly in detail. Yesterday, i took a flight from Mumbai to Delhi at around 3 PM, and i was carrying this instrument with me because i took it to Mumbai along with me to show it to my cousin. However, while leaving the flight at the arrival, i forgot to take it and left it under my seat. Although i have reported this incident to the airport's lost and found section, i have not received any positive news yet. The color of the guitar is brown and black, and i bought it around 3 months ago from an online store. Further, it is of Yamaha brand and costs me 15000/- rupees.
As this item was covered under my insurance policy, i would like to know how can i claim the amount for my lost guitar. Also, would it possible for you to share the complete process on my mail ID, which is already there in your records.
Please do let me know if any further details are required from my end. Hoping for your prompt response on this.
Yours faithfully.
