The first chart below shows how energy is used in an average Australian households. The second chart shows the greenhouse gas emissions which result from this energy use.
The first pie graph gives information about the 6 sources of usage of energy in all Australian dwellings. The next one demonstrates the proportion of greenhouse gases which are released by the mentioned usages.
It is clear that meanwhile, citizens in Australia consumed energy in more than 40 proportion in heating which had smaller percentage of greenhouse gases emissions with 15%, the greatest amount of emissions were from water heating that were used 30% of energy.
The biggest energy usages was allocated to heating with 42% and the other largest one was water heating which was consumed 30% of energy. But there were another sources which had small proportion like other appliances with 15%, 7% in refrigeration. At the end, lighting and cooling consumed energy in 4%, 2% respectively.
In figure 2, two main sources with near percentage were devoted to water heating with 32% of greenhouse gas emissions and the other one was for other appliances with 28%. Both heating and refrigeration had near proportion with 15% and 14% respectively. As like the usage of lighting and cooling which were low, their emissions were less than 10 proportion with 8% for lighting and 3% for the other one.
