Success of an individual is relative to the environment and people surrounding him, as to sustain life
one ought to be in a circle of people and humans satiate this social requirement by the way of
developing friendship. Our friends plays an significant role in our lives, as we tend to learn, enjoy and
grow with our mates, thus it very well justifies to have friends of both opinions, one in our favour
and other against, as its pertinent for developing ones personality.
Throughout our life cycle, we tend to develop friendship with different set of people mainly while
pursing education and then later in our professional life. Generally, the likings, interests and basic
human nature among friends are common, it is quite normal to notice that group of friends carry
same sought of opinion about life and that is the reason majority of the time, a set of people having
friendship ends up into similar professions and same sought of lifestyle. India’s best cricketers Sachin
Tendulkar and Vinod Kambli were childhood mates and pursued their careers in same field.
At the same time, having friends who generally disagree on few occasions, do help oneself to
understand and realize the reason behind the criticism, as it sometimes helps in self-realisation and
accordingly one may bring desired changes in personality to succeed in life. But unfortunately,
people having different opinions may end up their friendship as well. Our Bollywood stars Salman
Khan and Shahrukh khan were very genuine mates at one point of time, but later due to difference
in opinions, they ended up in the biggest rivalry of the film industry.
To recapitulate, having friends who carry similar opinions tend to support and motivate to achieve
success in life, but at the same time having friends who opposes, adds up to developing some vital
personality traits which our attained only with criticism.
