29.The maps provide the layout of South Wing of Whelton Museum in 2008 and 2012
The maps provide changes which took place in the layout of South Wing of Whelton Museum in two different years,2008 and 2012.
Overall, it is clear that the Whelton Museum became a more developing destination with more modern facilities and services.
One of the most striking alterations was the transformation of an entrance into an entrance room above the stairs in 2012. Moreover, there used to be a cloak house on the far left corner of the layout. However, it was 2012 that the cloakroom was moved to the gallery area.
According to the maps, the upper stairs next to the interactive gallery was upgraded into a more convenient lift which can be used by more visitors. Four years later from 2008, great changes had occurred with the number of rooms was almost double. In addition, the introduction of not only an exhibition room but also a cafeteria and a children playground in the left side of the layout was one of the most remarkable changes of the Museum in 2012.
