The chart below shows how much money is spent in the budget on different sectors by the UAE government in 2000.
The supplied pie chart compares the expenditure in ten different areas by the government of the UAE in 2000. Units are measured in AED.
A glance at the chart reveals that maximum amount was spent on social security while least was spent on transport. It is clear that security, health, and education were the main concerns of the UAE government. On the other hand, transport and industry, agriculture and environment were not given much importance.
Categorically speaking, about one-third of the budget( AED 100 billion), which is significantly higher as compared to other sectors, was directed at social security. Health and personal social services(AED 53 billion) and education(AED 38 billion) were the second and third sectors respectively, a total of whom results for just above one-fourth of the UAE total budget.
On the contrary, four bottommost categories were transport, industry, agriculture and employment, housing and heritage, and law and order with an expenditure of AED 9, 13,15 and 17 billion respectively. Moreover, defence, debt interest, and other sectors were given almost equal amount of outlay i.e. AED 23 billion in the given year.
