The two pie charts below show the online shopping sales for retail sectors in Canada in 2005 and 2010
The given pie-charts illustrate the proportional data providing the online sales of four products in the Canadian retail market over a period of 5 years from 2005 to 2010.
Looking from the overall perspective, it is readily apparent that over the period as a whole, the sales figure of Electronics and appliance, and home furnishings witnessed a significant decline, while video games and food and beverage section observed a substantial increase.
To begin with, in 2005, the majority of the sales were from Electronic and appliances, which accounted for 35% of the total sales. The next most demanding section was home furnishings, with a quarter of the overall figure. By contrast, 4% fewer sales were reported in the video games section as compared to food and beverage that made up 22% of the total share.
Turning to 2010, with 5% and 10% drop down, sales in the electronic and appliance and home furnishings plunged to 30% and 15% respectively. However, whilst food and beverage experienced a noticeable surge of 10%, a further 5% rise pushed the video games market up, reaching 23% by the period end.
