The table describes the changes of people who went for international travel in 1990, 1995, 2000 and 2005.
The line graph gives information about how many people in different regions of the world travelled abroad during the period of 16 years from 1990 to 2005.
Overall, there was a remarkable increase in the number of overseas travellers throughout the years. Besides, there was a significant drop in America while the figures for the other areas witnessed a reverse trend.
There was a total of 448.9 million in 1990, which then saw an upward trend to 693.7 million in the following 15 years. Starting at 18.2 million people, the number of African people visiting another country rose slightly to 28.7 million in 2005, followed by Middle West, with the increase of 6 million. In comparison, Europe was ranked second in the first year, at 280.2 million which climbed sharply to over 400 million in 2005. The figure for Asia and the Pacific in 2005 (135.8 million) was more than twice as high as that of 1990 (60.2 million).
Regarding America where 680.5 million people travelled abroad in 1990. However, its figure experienced a sudden fall to end at only 113.2 million.
