A museum near your home is looking for people to do part time voluntary unpaid work. You would like to do some voluntary unpaid work at the museum. Write a letter to the director.
Explain why you want to do voluntary work at the museum
Describe some skill and qualities you have that would be useful.
Give details of when you will be available for work.
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing in relation to your newspaper advertisement calling for interested volunteers in your museum and to hereby apply for the position.
My interest in rendering voluntary services span from my encounter with less privilege members of the society during my undergraduate in 2019. Although, I could not do much at that time because of my routine academic engagement, it strengthened my zeal and resolve to take up the role.
I am a legal practitioner and by virtue of my profession, I possess hands-on experience in social justice. Even though the world is drifting in a negative direction, I still possess a people-oriented mindset. Thus I think it stands me out in the race for the position.
I have just finished my contract with a charity organisation in Bornu state and i am returning to Abuja in two weeks time. Thus, I will be on ground to resume officially on the first working day in December.
I look forward to an opportunity to meet and establish a working relationship with you.
Yours faithfully,
Francis Ojima Akoji
