The table depicts information about consumer expenditures on different things in five countries (Ireland, Italy, Spain, Sweden and Turkey) in 2002.
It can be seen that Turkey was leader with percentage of consumer expenditures on Food/ Drinks/ Tobacco (32.14%) and Leisure/Education (4.35%). Coming to the Clothing/ Footwear, in Italy this percentage was higher than the others (9.00%).
The least percentage of expenditure on Leisure / Education was observed in Spain and Ireland. Minimum amount of expenditure on Clothing/ Footwear was in Sweden (5.4%).
On the other hand percentage of money spent on Food / Drinks/ Tobacco in Italy, Spain and Sweden was less than 20% in 2002.
Clothing/ Footwear and Food/ Drinks/ Tobacco expenditures of Irish people were closer to Turkey’s statistics than the other countries. But national consumers of Ireland spent a little money for Leisure/ Education. They used to pay less money for their hobbies, rest than the other expenditures.
