the three pie charts below show the changes in annual spending by a particular UK school in 1981, 1991, and 2001.
Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
The following pie charts illustrate how the yearly expenditure of a specific UK school changed in the three different years of 1981, 1991, and 2001.
As can be clearly observed from the pie charts, the trends of changes can be divided into two main groups: downward and upward. There was a dramatic increase in Insurance from 2% at 1981 to 8% at 2001. Despite the fact that both Teachers’ salaries and Furniture and equipment experienced a slow climb at the final year which was 2001, from 40% to 45% and from 15% to 23% respectively, Furniture and equipment declined dramatically at 1991 to 5% while Teachers’ salaries went up significantly and reached 50% at 1991.
on the other hand, changing pattern of Other workers’ salaries and Resources was downward. The former witnessed a remarkable decline from 28% at 1981 to 15% at 2001. Unlike a slow decrease which was occurred in the latter from 15% to 20% during 1981 to 1991, the share of Resources in the school spending went down sharply and touched 9% at 2001.
It is clear from the pie charts that as far as the proportion of Teachers’ salaries at all three years was the most significant one, the smallest share of annul spending in the school belonged to Insurance at the same years.
