The chart bellow shows the results of a survey about people's coffee and tea buying and drinking habits if five Australian cities.
Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
The following chart illustrates the percentages of five Australian cities’ population interest in drinking and buying coffee or tea in last four weeks.
As can be clearly observed from the chart, people in all five cities mostly appealed to go to a café for coffee or tea in last four weeks. Unlike Adelaide which this percentage was slightly under 50%, the percentages in all other four cities of Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Hobart were more than 55%. They were slightly above 60%, near 65%, a bit more than 55%, and above 60%, respectively.
Moreover, 45% of Sydney’s residents, below 50% of Melbourne’s dwellers, and above 50% of people who live in Brisbane tended to buy instant coffee in the last month. The tendency to purchase instant coffee in Hobart was around 55%. Followed by Brisbane with a bit less than 50%. Approximately as much percentage of Sydney’s residents as Melbourne’s residents preferred to buy fresh coffee in the last 4 weeks which was around 43%. The same pattern can be seen in Brisbane and Adelaide dwellers’ habit of buying fresh coffee at the same time by nearly 45%. This share in Hobart was something between the previous two groups which is around 40%.
It is clear from the chart that whereas there are significant similarities between Sydney, Melbourne, and Hobart’ residents on drinking and buying habit of tea or coffee, people who live in Adelaide and Brisbane show different behavior at the same period.
