Overall, it can be seen that, women consumed highest portion of fruits and vegetables, while children ate the lowest percentage. Furthermore, the bar chart shows the increasing trend on consuming fruits and vegetables in the UK.
To begin with, in 2001, women ate more than 20% of fruits and vegetables, which is more than nearly 10% and 5% pf children and men respectively. This figure rose steadily and reached its peak in 2006, with almost 35%, just before declining to nearly 30% in 2008.
In term of men and children, the percentage of 2001 remain constant for next two years with about 17% and 7% respectively. After that, with gradual increment, the portion of men experienced its highest point in 2006 and 2007 by 28% and dropped slightly by approximately 3% in 2008. A similar pattern can be seen for the children as well. They reached at the peak in 2007 with about 25% and decreased mildly by approximately 2% in 2008
