The flow chart illustrates the consequences of deforestation

Essay topics:

The flow chart illustrates the consequences of deforestation.

The flowchart represents the repercussion of deforestation.

Overall, it is apparent that cutting down the forest has various effects such as flooding and soil erosion

It is conspicuous from the illustration that when forests are cut down, the soil is compressed by heavy logging equipment. As a consequence, the soil becomes hard and backed up and because of that rainwater runs off which leads to flooding. On top of that, when forests are diminished, fewer roots are left which hold the topsoil in place, preventing soil erosion. In addition to this, deforestation increases the risk of accidental burning, due to this, waste wood from the logging is destroyed and as a result, microorganisms lose their food resource. Besides, because of deforestation, moisture in the air decreases which leads to less precipitation, and aftermath drought occurs. Finally, desertification, loss of microorganisms, and soil erosion are responsible for degradation in vegetation. The main reason for less biodiversity is degradation in vegetation.
