The percentage of England amounted 25 % in the beginning, then demonstrated the insignificant growth and was equaled almost the Wales’s index in 1980 (30 %).
The drastic changes were seen for Scotland, where the percent stood at only 10 % in the beginning, but grew to nearly double at around 20 % by 2010. Surprisingly, in the Northern Ireland the share of part-time employees was 15% that is higher than in Scotland in 1980, however, over a period fell a little and became the lowest ration among four regions of the United Kingdom.
