Overall, there was a gradual increase in the percentage of both female and male test takers during the period except for the year 2010. Furthermore, the figures for female group always outnumbered the male one in the years 1980, 1990, 2000 and 2010.
Regarding women group, the figure stood at around 48% in 1980, later grew up to 52% in 1990 and reached a peak of approximately 68% in 1990 before declining slightly to 63% in 2010.
Similarly, it can be seen in the male group a significant growth when the percentage was 28% in 1980 and continued to rise to 28% in 1990. Ten years later, it hit the highest point of almost 49% and remained the same in 2010. It is clear while the figures for women group decreased in 2010, the opposite was true for men in the same year.
