The given diagram illustrates the ratio of families in owned and rented accommodation in two different places England and Wales in the period of namely 93 years from 1918.
In general, the subjects listed in the chart had total fluctuation when this one climbed, the other one had to fall in 93 years. However, they still had one time that both of them witnessed the same percentage.
In the first 53 years, households in rented accommodation witnessed an overwhelming decrease from 78% down to 50%. Namely, it dropped 9% in 1939 and kept it steadily in 1953 whilst 8 years later, it falls dramatically with the difference of 9% and continued declining to 50%. Despite this decrease, households in owned accommodation had a significant improvement from 22% to 50% simultaneously with that in rented accommodation. In detail, there was a development of 9% in 1939, coincidentally, it was still steady in 1939 and had a sharp increase f 19% in the next 18 years.
Keeping on decreasing, the rate of households in rented accommodation fell at the bottom with the ratio of 31% in 2001 while in the next 10 years, the statistic of that saw an increase of 5%. Besides, the households in owned still kept on developing and reach the peak at nearly 70% in 2001 with the difference of 19% in 1971. In spite of that steep rise, there was a slight drop in 2011 at the ratio of 63%.
