The bar graph shows the difference in the Internet usages between Greece, Denmark, Canada and the world average over the period from 1998 to 2013.
Overall, it is clear that the increase trend in the Internet consumption in 4 countries over the period. Especially, users in Denmark and Canada were higher than the 2 remain groups, whilst the Internet usages in Greece was similar with that in the world average.
Looking at the graph more closely, one can see that in 1998, the number of people used Internet in Denmark shorter than in Canada by approximately 5 thousand people. From 1998 to 2003, the number of users shot up significantly to nearly 80 thousand people and then still increased steadily to the end of the period and reached the peak of more than 90 thousand people. A similar trend was seen in Canada, at the start point of the period, users in Canada stayed at nearly 30 thousand people, a little higher than Denmark at the same time but in 2003, it soared dramatically to 70 thousand people and then gradually rose over the course of 10 years later to closely 90%. In Greece, the number of the Internet users hit the low of nearly 2 thousand people at the beginning of the period. However, there was a slight shift during 5 years later, from the lowest group of the Internet users, Greece rose to the third position and kept that rank to the end of the period at nearly 90 thousand. Then with the case in the world average, in 1998, there is no noticeable in the gap of their number of the Internet users when compared with Greece. However, from 2003 to ten years later, the gap increased dramatically and the users of world average stood at nearly 35%, as half of Greece.
