Given is a figure comparing the percentage of Australian males and females who did a physical activity in the year 2010 among different age groups.
It is interesting to note that the proportions of women in terms of doing physical practices were more in almost all age groups except 15-24-year-olds. While the least percentage of men doing the regular activity was among 35-44-year-olds, the lowest data for women was for those who are 65 or older.
Adult people that were in the age of 15 to 24 had the most percentage of physical activity for men with 52.8 percent. Females had a 47. 7 percent range of activity in this age group. The amount of doing exercise dropped sharply for males of 25 to 34-year-old to 42.2 percent. The figure for women did not change a lot, though.
The declining trend continued for men to 32.5 percent for 35-44-year-olds; however, women saw a considerable rise with 52.5 percent. The proportion of men who did physical activity rose steadily to 46.7 percent among 65 or over year olds, while women's activity fell to a low of just 47.1 percent.
