The maps below show a bookstore in 2000 and now.
Given are the two maps delineating the modifications in a bookstore’s layout since the first year of the 21 century.
Perceptibly, the locations for different types of books have been neatly arranged to give space for customers to enjoy café and reading books.
Over the years, the area which is opposite the entrance where bookstore’s customers could find out information for travelling remains unchanged. Likewise, to its right-hand side, there is the section for new books which is adjacent to the service desk on the corner.
By contrast, the rest has experienced drastic changes with the appearance of three tables and four chairs for each in the middle of the store where readers could find cookery, hobbies and art books in 2000. Additionally, a café next to the service desk has been newly added in the space which was used to be devoted for non-fiction books. Moreover, there used to be two large rooms devoted to fiction books which were one to the left of the area for travelling information and another to the back of the store. However, the former space has been separated into 4 smaller rooms to hold books for art, hobbies, cookery and fiction while the latter currently is used for non-fiction books.
