The bar chart is a representation of the number of men and women pursuing further education (part-time or full-time) in three different time periods in Britain that is 1970-71, 1980-81, and 1990-91.
Overall, the number of men and women pursuing further education in part time is significantly higher than that of the combined number of men and women in full time education.
Considering the part-time education category, the highest number of men (1,000,000) enrolled in this, is in the time period 1970-71, while the greatest women count (slightly more than 1,000,000) in the same category falls in the time period 1990-91. The lowest men count in part-time education would be in the period of 1980-81(over 800,000), which is nearly equal to the number of men in the same category in1990-91(nearly 850,000).
In full time education, the most number of men enrolled in this type of education belongs to the time period 1990-91(over 200,000), and the lowest men count falls under the 1970-71time period with approximately 100,000 men. A similar trend is observed in the number of women who opted for full time education. The least count is in 1970-71(around 75,000) time period and the highest count belongs to 1990-91(slightly over 200,000) time period which is almost equal to the women count in 1980-81(around 200,000).
