Summarize
The article introduces the topic of using technology in coming smart cars.The writer says that coming up with smart cars will be safer , quicker and have reduced costs. The lecturer disagrees with it and he says and attacks claims made in the reading.
First ,the author says that using sensors in smart cars will save accidents on the highway , as these sensors will detect cars and other obstacles in their path.On the other hand , speakers believes that there is always some occasionally fault , as more cars will be in the road because of new technology ,it will be tightly packed and increased the chances of accidents.
According to writers, using smart cars will practically make traffic problems disappear as these computer based car will have high speed and have less commutation on the road , but professor refuses this argument by saying that having smart cars in the market , they will more people who will drive and traffic of cars will increase which leads to long commute drives.
Also , the reading passage notes how there will reduction in cost of driving also , because of using direct routes , car owners will have to spend less money on repairs and replacement parts .The professor in the listening passage is doubtful that this is not accurate , he says that the cost of parts like sensors and other advanced part will cost more money than regular replacements and repairs for regular cards .
