the diagram shows the process in which a tourist resort can develop and grow.
The diagram illustrates the cycle of how a new hotels set up could benefit itself and other industries. There are two main phases, in the first phase hotels and companies interact and benefit each other and the second phase is about how taxes are used.
Firstly, new hotels are built in a tourism area, which would generate many jobs opportunities, leading to an increase in local businesses supply services and many other companies in different fields. Thus, there are more occupations for workers. After that, taxes revenues are increased due to workers in these companies spend their money on leisure in that area which would generate many kinds of services and again create more jobs.
In the second phase, after taxes are collected from those services, they are spent on improving infrastructure, image and tourist services. Subsequently, the area becomes a more popular tourist destination, increasing profitability and revenue for re-investment. Finally, more hotels would show up and repeat the process. However, not all of the money is reinvested because some are lost through leakage.
