You have a full-time job and you are also doing a part-time evening course.
You now find that you cannot continue the course.
Write a letter to your teachers. In your letter
describe the situation
explain why you cannot continue at this time
say what action you would like to take
You do NOT need to write any addresses.
Begin your letter as follows:
Dear ................. ,
Dear Mr. Smith,
I am Tony from the Part - time evening Information Management class. I am writing this letter to inform you that, I will not be able to pursue my classes further due to my workplace commitment.
Recently, My company has planned to takeover an organisation and they have selected me as the main lead for this merger. This was a sudden plan which was taken up by the organisation and it also came to us as a surprise. Currently I am busy with the presentations which I need to present to the Board of directors for this acquisitions.
The company which is getting merged is from another city and my manager wants me to be there at the company for setting up the entire work. I will have to travel on Monday itself. As I will be in another city, attending the evening session will not be possible at this moment.
As this setup is for couple of months, so once the work is completed I will be travelling back. Hence I would request you to kindly allow me to continue the same course in the next term.
This new task is very important for my career and I hope that you will understand my reasons to leave the course midway.
Yours Sincerely,
Tony
