The graph illustrates the amount spent on mobile phones and the landlines each year from 2001 to 2010.
Looking from an overall perspective, the expenses of cell phones increased steadily to about four times that of the initial value; whereas residential phone services saw a reverse trend with the figures to slightly above half of the initial value in the decade period between 2001 and 2010.
To begin with, mobile devices expenditures commenced at $200 and soared to about four folds within the decade. In 2002 and 2007, the figures were seen to be plateauing at around $100 and $600, respectively.
Regarding land phone services, the figures seemed to decline from $700 to nearly $400, owing to the increased usage of mobile phones. A negligible amount of fluctuation was recorded at $500 in the year 2007 at the same time when the values for cell phones were seen to change, after which the figures continued to fall.
