The chart shows the percentage of car manufacturer's total sales in North America, South America, Europe and Asia.
The bar chart highlights the proportion of automobiles consumed in four different regions of the world by a car business between 2006 and 2010.
From the data in the above graph, it is apparent that while the percentages of cars sold in Asia went up significantly, the opposite was true in South America. In addition, the figures for the rest areas remained relatively stable over the period shown.
In 2006, Asia and Europe are the company’s two largest market shares with 30% of cars purchased, just 1% higher than in South America. By contrast, the motor car sales in North America recorded the lowest rate, only 11% in total. Two years later, the number of cars acquired in Asia and Europe both rose to 35% and 37% sequentially. Meanwhile, the converse trend occurred in the other continents.
In 2010, 50% of the manufacturer’s revenue came from Asia, whereas those in Europe and South America declined substantially to 30% and 9% respectively. Besides, auto sales in North America, which fell to 5% in 2009, rebounded to 11%
