The flowchart below shows the recycling process of aluminium cans.
The picture illustrates how aluminium cans are recycled in 6 consecutive stages.
In general, the cans are compiled in specific storage as being processed using some machines and ended up being reproduced as an aluminium roll before being distributed to the masses.
Initially, cans from domestic use are put into special collection storage before being brought into the factory. When reaching the factory, the cans are cleaned, sorted, and shredded before being compressed into the solid cubic form using machines. Following this, the cubes then are heated using fires to their melting point.
Once the aluminium is melted, the liquid aluminium is pressed into thin rolls with 2.5mm - 6mm thickness. After it is set, the rolls are ready to be sent to the recycling company to be distributed widely. Finally, the recycled aluminium cans are ready to be used by the masses. Statistic shows, that 74% of aluminium in the UK has been recycled.
