Given is the chart providing information about the consumption of energy by different types in USA from 1980 to 2030.

It can be clearly seen that, petrol and oil have much higher figures throughout the given period, starting from 35 quadrillions it fluctuates until 1995 when it accounts for 33 quadrillions and increases significantly until 2030 when it reaches 48 quadrillions. Coal and natural gas have similar way of developing during all years, although at the beginning natural gas had more units (20 quadrillions) as the years go by it reaches 24 quadrillions, whereas coal states with 16 quadrillions and constitutes for 30 quadrillions in 2030.

The next three types of energy consumption, nuclear, solar/wind and hydropower show a uniform sign of start with 4 quadrillions in 1980. As the years go by nuclear constitutes a little more units in comparison with the two other types and reaches 7 quadrillions in 2030, whereas solar/wind and hydropower pass each other until 2005. Afterwards, solar/wind have a slow rise until 2030 (5 quadrillions) and hydropower drops to 2.5 quadrillions in 2030.

Overall, all types of energy consumption tend to increase as the years pass by.
