A 10% leap in the sales of luxury good and housing was recorded from only 7% and 22% respectively, meanwhile, a 1 percent less disparity was of sales in travel when it registered 17% in 2008.
While food accounted for the largest part in sales in 1958 with 32%, it thereafter diminished exponentially to only 12%. It was still smaller than the figure of clothing in 2008 with 16% which was down from 18% in 1958. Outstandingly, there was a drastic slump in the entertainment sales from 13% in 1958 to the most diminutive rate 50 years later at 6%.
