The picture below shows the recycling process of wasted glass bottles.
The diagram gives information about how wasted glass containers be recycled.
In general, there are a total of eleven steps including three main stages collecting wasted glass bottles, manufacturing and finally selling new products in shops.
Starting off the production process, used glass bottles are collected to the recycled point before being delivered to a glass recycling facility by lorry. The second stage begins with rinsing bottles with high-pressure water and sorting them out into three types clear, green, and brown glass. Glass containers are broken into small pieces in the glass factory. And then, these pieces are put in a furnace and burnt at a temperature of 600 to 800 degrees Celsius.
The mixture is molded into a bottle shaped after the recycled liquid glass is mixed into new liquid glass. In the final stages, the glass is used to bottle different products and then sent back to the supermarket ready for sale.
