the table and charts below give information on the police budget for 2017 and 2018 in one area of Britain. The table shows where the money came from and the charts show how it was distributed. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
The table illustrates the sources of police budgets in terms of number over the two-year period, and the chart compares two years' budget distribution in different ways.
It is clear that income mainly increased as a result of local taxes. We can also see that budgets spent much more on technology from 2017 to 2018.
In comparison to two years of data, the police budget's income increased overall and at each source. Particularly, local taxes had the greatest increment, increasing from 91.2 million to 102.3 million. National goverment, the main source of income, rose from 175.5 million to 177.8 million, while the other sources only had a 0.5 million rise.
Salaries paying for officers and relevant staff, as the largest share of economic expense, dropped from 75% to 69%. Meanwhile, spending of technology expanded in the percent which is equal to the decresing percnet of salaries. The proportions of buildings and transportation keep the same between the two years.
