You are going to another country to study. You would like to do a part-time job while you are studying, so you want to ask a friend who lives there for some help.
Write a letter to your friend. In your letter:
give details of your study plans
explain why you want to get a part-time job
suggest how your friend could help you find a job
Dear Mohsen,
I hope this letter finds you well...!!!
I am writing this letter to share some good news about my travel to overseas. Yes, you understood correctly...!! I am going to Canada for pursuing Master's in Artificial Intelligence which is a 2-year course. I am through with all admission and visa processes. So, I will take off on January 10th.
Although there is ample of time to travel, I would rather start looking for a part-time job as It is a full-time course and I would no longer be employed and therefore will have no income. As I am a software engineer, I have the technical skills that would help me to look job with a similar profile.
One of your colleagues Mr. Sharma is onshore like me and I need a favor to ask him to refer me. Please find attached is my resume. Also, if you could send the mail id to your friend would be really helpful.
Also, I would be out there for a long time so let us catch up soon and cherish our moments. Write back to me your date, place and time. I am awaiting your response.
Love and Warm regards,
Mahesh
