The maps below show a beachfront area in Australia in 1950 and today

Information regarding how an Australian beachfront location has transformed from 1950 to the present is revealed in the diagram. Overall, this area has experienced relatively extensive transformations, the most noticeable of which is the addition of a new car park, the expansion of the transport infrastructure and the erection of recreational facilities
In the upper part of the area, a cityward road which began at an a car park has been expanded southward, encircling the area and leading to the lighthouse. While a new car park has been established in the place that was formerly occupied by a roadside playground, dining tables and a pavilion situated along the road have remained intact.
In the lower part of the area, to the west, a two-story and spacious restaurant and a facility exclusively catering for surfers have been built adjacent to a 25-m pool which has been doubled in length. To the east, an additional surf club has been erected between the unchanged facilities including a pre-existing 25-m pool and the lighthouse.
