Milk production
The table compares the amount of milk produced yearly in four nations in 1990, 2000 and 2010.
Overall, there was an upward trend in milk production in Tanzania and Guatemala, while the opposite was true for Australia. In addition, the Netherlands was the most prominent milk market despite a minor fluctuation during the research period.
In 1990, the Netherlands produced the most milk, with 11,262,000 litres, followed by Australia - the second largest market, with 11,246,000 litres. A decade later, the amount of milk manufactured in the Netherlands slightly decreased to 11,155,000 litres, but later climbed to 11,466,000 litres in 2010. Australia still ranked second in the chart although its data consistently fell to 9,165,000 litres in 2010.
Of the remaining countries, Tanzania came in third with 87,000 litres in 1990, far higher than Guatemala, at 26,000 litres. From 1990 onwards, the quantity of milk made in Tanzania dramatically grew to 1,55,000 litres in 2010. Likewise, 2000 and 2010 witnessed increases in milk production in Guatemala, climbing to 55,000 litres and 84,000 litres, consecutively.
