The diagrams below show changes in Felixstone in the UK between 1967 and 2001.
The given maps illustrate variations that took place in Felixstone in the UK from 1967 to 2001.
Generally, in the most parts, Felixstone witnessed noticeable changes to have more entertainment and tourism services. Besides, although Felixstone kept some of its old spots, becoming a tourist attraction lead to its abandoning all of the fishing facilities.
In the Northeastern part, the agricultural area was converted into a service complex containing a swimming pool, two tennis courts and a hotel. Additionally, on the high street, inspite the remaining of a linear array of shop and the street itself, the shops on the right was demolished to build new apartments. In spite of these major changes, the golf course stayed unchanged over 34 years.
Considering the South side of Felixstone, in the East, there was a conversion of all the fishery infrastructures like the marina and the fish market into two beaches, the private and the public one. Moreover, while the cafe experienced no changes, the old hotel in the Southwest was replaced by a new hotel and a car park. Finally, a construction of wind turbines was carried out despite the stability of natural places.
