With the development of Internet and mobile phones, some people argue that the traditional skill of letter writting will disappear.Although I agree that letter writing will be less important due to the development of Internet, I believe that we always need the fundamental skills of letter writing, it will not completely disappear in the future
On the one hand, the traditional skill of letter writing will decrease because of the low efficiency. People tend to interact with others using some applications in their mobile phones, such as Wechat and Instagram. By Constract, writing letters need more time to write and delivery. This means that we can not cannot talk to each other immediately. Also, there are less information in letters. For example, we can send some videos or pictures to our friends through internet which enriches our test contents, and a long paragraph does not do justice to what the writers want to say.
On the other hand, the skills of leter writing will still be important in some occassions. They are needed in some formal documents, such as contrasts and personal statements.They show a sense of ritual and respect to the readers. Furthermore, wring a letter personally shows a strong feeling. For example, When a girl recieve a handwriting love letter from his boyfiend. She will be more impressed than a text message from Wechat. The characters can express feelings at the time written by hands.
In conclusion. although there is a decrease in the traditional skill of letter writing because of the Internet and mobile phones. I believe that it will still useful in some occassions and never disappear.
