The pie chart above illustrates the essential factors that 4000 interns acknowledged from their internships.
Standing from an overall point of view, it is clearly seen that Practical Knowledge was what most interns gathered from the periods. However, these internships failed to equip these participant with Teamwork skills as it accounted for the smallest fracture in the total knowledge base.
While other skills took up a 26% according to the results, it was not detailed enough to determine the skills that these intern learned from the duration of the internship. Therefore, taking more detailed knowledge into account, Practical Knowledge was seen as the most common thing that the interns got to experience, with a 15% of the total experience, following by communication skills with 14%. This could be explained by the exposure to the real working environment enabled the intern to acquire these skills for a better adaptation.
Teamwork, a very crucial skill in the business environment, however, did not see such high percentage. With only 3% of the knowledge share, Teamwork was the lowest rank in the whole chart, with Work Environment next on the list with 4%. The distance between official workers and interns could be the explanation for the lack of teamwork and environment understanding of the participants.
