Essay topics:

The diagram shows how chocolate is produced.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

The picture shows a series of processes to yield liquid chocolate from the cocoa trees thrived in three different areas (South America, Africa and Indonesia).

There are three main stages in the process, beginning with manual steps, raw material delivery, then continued with machine-processed chocolate.

Regarding the first stage, ripe red pods picked from cocoa trees are harvested to collect white cocoa beans, fermented for several days by banana leaves to strengthen its quality. When turning reddish after fermentation, the beans are laid out under the sun. At the second stage, dried beans are stored at average weight in large sacks which are continually transported by lorry to the factory.

Upon arrival at the factory, the baking tray of beans is put into a roasting machine with a certain temperature. Shortly afterward, they are poured into the separating unit to remove the outer shell from crushed beans. Finally, to extract the liquid chocolate after the winnowing process, the inner part of it is pressed by rollers.
