Given is a bar chart depicting the average carbon dioxide released by each person in the 4 separate countries, namely United Kingdom, Sweden, Italy and Portugal over a period of 40 years, commencing from 1967 to 2007.
Perceptibly, the figure recorded for the United Kingdom and Sweden surged over a 40-year period while the opposite was true for Italy and Portugal.
According to figures from the United Kingdom and Sweden, there was a 2-tonnes disparity in the amount of CO2 emissions per head in these countries with the higher one belonging to the United Kingdom with 11 tonnes recorded. While the figure taken in the UK plummeted uninterruptedly to 9 percent over 40 years, the average number of CO2 permeated into the environment per person in Sweden experienced a marginal leap to more than 10 tonnes before being bisected in 2007.
In terms of the remaining countries, the amount of CO2 dispersing into the atmosphere in Italy initiated at 4 tonnes before leaping continuously by 2 times in 2007. Likewise, a corresponding trend was witnessed in Portugal with 0,5 and 5 tonnes recorded in 1967 and 2007 respectively.
