The plans below show the layout of a university's sports centre now, and how it will look after redevelopment.
The plans illustrate how a university sports center looks today and its renovation in the future.
Overall, the sporting campus will be more spacious and modernized. It will offer not only new amenities but also improved sports facilities.
At present day, the main sports hall can be seen sandwiched between 2 outdoor courts on either side. In the main hall, there is a reception as soon as an entrance is passed. A 25m pool is placed in the middle surrounded by a changing room, seating, and gym.
In terms of the future, outdoor courts will be removed and all facilities are set to be indoors. There will be no alteration to the old pool except for extending the gym and building a sports hall on the right of the seating. New services such as sports stores, a café, and 2 bigger changing rooms will also be added near the entrance. The final interesting changes are the introduction of a leisure pool and dance studios.
