The map shows the ground floor of a library in 2001 and 2009.
The map gives information about the changes to a library's ground floor in 2009 compared to 2001.
Overall, even though the total area used for the ground floor of this particular library remained unchanged, there had been some major alterations done to the general layout of the floor.
In 2001, the librarian's desk and the stairs were located right next to the entrance, which was still kept the same in 2009. A long row of shelves on the left and at the back was dedicated to self-help, history and fiction books, respectively. On the right of the room, a medium shelf was used to store newspapers and periodicals. In the middle of the room, 8 square tables were utilized as a reading area.
A different picture was seen of this library's ground floor in 2009. The first major addition was a separate area for computers, which was right between the stairs and the reading area. The long shelf row on the left and at the back was rearranged in 2009, with the 3 main book types in 2001 being put only in the first 3 sections instead of taking up the whole row. Kitchen, economics, law and children's books respectively filled in the remaining spaces on the shelves. 4 rectangle tables were then used in place of 8 square tables, and films and DVDs were stored on the shelf next to the tables.
