The maps demonstrate the changes that have taken place in a public library between 20 years ago and now.
Overall, the construction of the public library has been vastly restructured over the period in order to add more related facilities.
In the past 20 years, there was a main entrance in front of the building with two couples of tables and chairs in the middle. There were also regions for fiction and non-fiction books for adults on the left and right side of the library, respectively. Moreover, a reading room, including newspapers and magazines, and an enquiry desk were set up at the two bottom corners of the library. Finally, a room for children’s books was located in the right corner of the northeast area, and a region for video games was situated in the left corner of the northwest region of the building.
Currently, the main entrance remains intact; however, the tables and chairs have been removed for more space. On the left side of the library, the fiction books region has been replaced by reference books and the reading room turns into a computer area. Furthermore, the area for CDs and video games has been widened to accommodate children's fiction materials. On the opposite side, the children’s book has been replaced by a lecture room and a cafe has been newly built in place of the enquiry desk. Finally, the non-fiction book spot is converted into sections for adult fiction materials, a self-service machine, and an information desk.
